About Lightning Motorsport

Chris was brought up involved with motorposrt from a young age. Starting out in karting in 2001, he quickly began to compete all over the country and in national championships too. He raced against some of the best karters in the UK and emerged victorious from many-a-race, until he decided to stop karting in 2009 and pursue the career of Lightning Motorsport.

Based in the heart of Essex, South East England, Lightning Motorsport was originally founded by Chris Newton in 2009. With years of experience to his name, Chris has been able to create tuning kits and custom inlet manifolds, undertake turbo conversions, full race spec engine builds and all the while gaining a good reputation from his vast customer base.

Over the years, Chris has dealt with many vehicles but specialises in Fords with experience tuning Fiesta’s, Puma’s and, more recently, Focus RS’s too.
